Chicago, IL, October 18, 2017 —- The University of Delaware and All Campus have partnered to address increasing employer demand for skilled data professionals as well as growing interest among recent graduates and working professionals for advanced data science skills. All Campus, a leading provider of online program management services, is helping UD launch and realize full market potential for its new online Master of Science in Applied Statistics degree.

To support the launch and growth of the online MS in Applied Statistics, All Campus is providing services including marketing, recruitment, enrollment and retention. “Teaming up with All Campus enables the university to extend the reach of our graduate programs in the Department of Applied Economics and Statistics (APEC) and help students become qualified candidates for the growing number of positions in data,” says Thomas Ilvento, Ph.D., chair of University of Delaware’s APEC.

The rigorous curriculum, developed by faculty and data professionals from leading organizations, is delivered in a flexible online format, enabling students to acquire the skills they need to enter or advance in the field without disrupting their careers and incurring relocation costs.

The projected growth rate of job demand for statisticians between 2014 and 2024 is 34 percent, according the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Market intelligence firm, International Data Corporation, estimates that by 2018 employers in the United States will need 181,000 people with deep analytical skills and 905,000 people with data management and interpretation capabilities.

UD’s case study-based approach to learning and free access to SAS software, a widely-used tool by organizations to mine, modify, manage and analyze data sets that may be very large and complex, provides students with experiential training and excellent preparation for well-paying jobs in data. The median annual wage for statisticians in 2016 was $80,500, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

“All Campus is honored to partner with the University of Delaware in this endeavor. As marketing data experts, ourselves, this is a particularly gratifying program for us to support. We employ many of the same analytics skills to manage our business every day,” says Joe Diamond, CEO of All Campus.

“Among the ways that we’ll bolster the success of UD’s online MS in Applied Statistics offering is through our proprietary analytics platform,” he adds. “Real-time statistics provide All Campus with deep conversion metrics and enrollment projections that enable us to optimize every marketing campaign and fine-tune our enrollment services for our university partners.”

About University of Delaware
The University of Delaware is a state-assisted, privately governed institution with a strong tradition of distinguished scholarship, research, teaching and service. It is one of the nation’s oldest universities, beginning as a small private academy in 1743. Three of its original 10 students went on to sign the Declaration of Independence. Today UD is a Land Grant, Sea Grant and Space Grant institution that the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching classifies as having “very high research activity” – a designation accorded to fewer than 3 percent of U.S. colleges and universities.
