Mahajan Named CEO Of Cypress Fairbanks Medical Center Hospital

“Naman has demonstrated exceptional leadership capabilities, especially during Hurricane Harvey,” said Troy Villarreal, HCA Healthcare Gulf Coast Division president. “I’m confident that he will lead the hospital with the same creativity, productivity, and operational excellence he has already shown.”

Mahajan became the chief operating officer of the Cypress Fairbanks Medical Center Hospital in 2014. In this role, he was responsible for the executive oversight of the 181-bed hospital, its three free-standing emergency centers and three off-site urgent care centers, and the growth and development of all service lines.

Cypress Fairbanks Medical Center Hospital was acquired by HCA Healthcare Gulf Coast Division in August 2017, along with Houston Northwest Medical Center, Park Plaza Hospital and Plaza Specialty Hospital.

Before joining Cypress Fairbanks Medical Center Hospital, he served as the CEO for Select Specialty Hospital Houston Heights. His career also includes positions at the Harris County Hospital District, Deaconess Hospital in Oklahoma City, and Memorial Hermann Memorial City.

“I am honored to accept this opportunity, and look forward to the challenges it represents,” Mahajan said. “I am dedicated to providing high-quality service to our customers while also fostering a cooperative atmosphere with medical staff and other employees.”

A longtime Houstonian, Mahajan grew up in the Katy area and graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor’s degree in economics. He then earned an MBA with a health care specialization from Baylor University. He is a Six Sigma Green Belt and Six Sigma Change Agent and a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
