Christie's International Real Estate exclusive Austin Affiliate Moreland Properties hosts invitation-only cocktail event featuring Christie's Watches

AUSTIN, Texas, March 14, 2018Moreland Properties, the exclusive Affiliate of Christie's International Real Estate in Austin, Texas, hosted a cocktail event featuring Christie's Watches Private Sales and Specialist Brandon Frazin. The viewing was held at an exquisite home in the city's private gated community of Watersedge ahead of the internationally renowned South by Southwest festival, a celebration of the convergence of the interactive, film, and music industries held in Austin each year.

The property was the ideal venue to showcase the vintage and modern Rolex, Patek Philippe, and other timepieces available for sale. The five-bedroom, five-and-a-half bathroom Santa Barbara-style residence perfectly captures Austin's cutting-edge aesthetic. Perched on 150 feet of lakeshore, the home was recently renovated and fully modernized for large-scale entertaining with an expansive patio overlooking the infinity pool, spa, and the lake beyond, and sliding glass walls leading to the living areas for elegant indoor/outdoor mingling. Adding to the glamour of the evening was a top-of-the line Chris-Craft motorboat, provided by the local dealership Boat Town, moored at the home's private dock.

“The event, attended by more than 80 people, was a fantastic success, underscoring how our global Affiliate partners, such as Moreland, can leverage Christie's synergy between luxury goods and real estate for the benefit of their clients,” says Rick Moeser, Executive Director of Christie's International Real Estate. “The property came to life for potential buyers while Austin's discerning collectors were afforded the opportunity to view and purchase watches they wouldn't see anywhere else.”

The estate has refined architectural details and finishes, soaring ceilings, grand windows throughout to enjoy the endless water views, a chef's kitchen, an opulent master suite, a mother-in-law suite, and an elevator.

“Potential real estate buyers could see firsthand the home's possibilities for entertaining and everyday enjoyment,” says Sarah Railey, Chief Operating Officer for Moreland Properties. “By having the Christie's Watches Private Sales present at one of our spectacular listings, we demonstrated the full-service lifestyle that Moreland is able to offer to our valued clients as a Christie's International Real Estate Affiliate.”
